MY ROLE AT MIDLAND NAZ
I keep the building clean and beautiful during the week and as we have special events happening here at Midland Naz. I'm so blessed to be in charge of the care and keeping of my Father's house - it's not just a job - it's an honor!
IF I HAD MY DREAM VACATION
I'd love to visit Ireland and Greece, although I hate flying...so I guess I'll have to find a different dream.
IF I COULD DO A HOBBY FOR A LIVING
It's no secret around Midland Naz that I love to sing. I truly cannot imagine actually being paid to do something I love so much, but what a way to be able to help provide for my family and "be and do Jesus"!
MY FAVORITE TEAM
I love cheering for Midland Lady Explorers Travel Softball teams. Both of our girls play travel ball which keeps us busy in the summer. "Fire up! Fire up!!!"
MY FAVORITE MOVIE
I love lots of movies and find it pretty tough to pick just one. Recent ones we're watching around the house lately are "The Court Jester" (old Danny Kaye) and "Hairspray" (remake with John Travolta)...okay, so maybe musicals are my favorites.
MY FAVORITE BOOK
Anything by Jan Karon - her Mitford series is wonderful. Faves are Shepherds Abiding and Light from Heaven as well as Home to Holly Springs.
MY MOST REWARDING VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY
I get the "warm fuzzies" whenever I get to put together and deliver Carpenter School snack packs. What a blessing it is to see the smiles and excitement on the the children's faces as we bring in the 60 or so bags with all the goodies to each classroom
My husband, Fred, and I have been married for 19 years and have four terrific kids.
I've spent most of my life here in Midland. I graduated from H.H. Dow HS and have an Associate Degree from Great Lakes Junior College of Business. I worked for several years as a receptionist at a local radio station until I had my second child and decided I needed to be an at-home mom. It's been just a joy to watch our children grow and mature in life and in God.
I have a rich heritage here at Midland Naz, as my family has been worshipping and serving here for more than 40 years. I have been a member here since I was 14 years old and have served in a variety of areas including worship team, funeral dinner coordinating, fellowship team, women's ministries, and MOPS. I've been fortunate to have gone on two mission trips as an adult sponsor with our youth group. And most recently I have served as Sunday School Superintendent (following my grandfather's footsteps) and teaching a Sunday School class.
