I am a question asker, and I think that you can learn a lot about a person by the questions
that a person asks or does not ask. The question that I have for you is this: what is your role in
God’s story? The book that we call the Bible is the story of God. It is the story of how God plans to
bring people like you and me into right relationship with God. The Bible is full of stories about how
God uses people like you and me to fulfill God’s purpose of reestablishing right relationship with us.
In essence, we are instruments of God’s truth, grace, love, and mercy to the world, and, as God’s
instruments, we have a role to play in God’s story. You do believe that each one of us has a role to play in
God’s story, don’t you? I mean, you don’t think that God would have created us without a role to play,
do you? So, if someone would ask you, what is your role in God’s story right now, what would be your
response? Simply put, for me, asking this question began the process by which God transformed me
into a new person (i.e., a God-controlled and God-transformed person) who desires nothing more than
to be where God wants me to be in word, thought, deed and place at each moment.
MY ROLE AT MIDLAND NAZ
Under God’s direction, is to set forth the vision/mission of MNC, to ensure that we liveout our vision/mission, to teach and to live God’s Word, and to be an instrument of God’s truth, grace, love and mercy in helping us understand and embrace our role in God’s story of bringing people like you and me back into right relationship with God.
IF I HAD MY DREAM VACATION
I’d spend a summer traveling throughout Europe with Kristin visiting old castles and churches, enjoying cultural foods, staying at unique places, and watching Kristin’s eyes sparkle as we experience and see new things on this adventure. If I could do a hobby for a living I’d...be a football or baseball coach.
