MY ROLE AT MIDLAND NAZ

Help families achieve their full potential through learning about God and His plan for their life. My goal is to connect with every family and provide opportunities for them to discover their role in God’s story. Creating a strong foundation in Christ is critical to helping families live healthy, successful and God driven lives. I strive to meet families where they are without judgment about past or present circumstances. My purpose is to help kids and families explore their unique gifts and talents and find ways to use them for His glory.

IF I HAD MY DREAM VACATION

I’d love to travel and see the world. My dream vacation would be with my husband, Rick, and visit all the great cities of Europe and try all the food! We would spend time exploring old churches and land marks and learning about their history.

IF I COULD DO A HOBBY FOR A LIVING

I love to crochet! Dish towels and coasters are my specialty. I also enjoy yoga on Monday nights and experimenting with new baking recipes.

MY FAVORITE MOVIE

I love the movie Annie! The fact that she is a red head may be a large part of it. My other favorite is flushed away.. It’s pretty much amazing.

MY FAVORITE BOOK

The Hunger Games! Enough said.

MY MOST REWARDING VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY

Children’s camp counselor during the summer of my sophomore year at Olivet. I loved interacting with the kids and watching them transform over the week of camp.

MY FAMILY

Married for 3 years to my wonderful husband, Rick. We have a 4 month old son, Michael, who is in the one percentile of the world with his red hair and blue eyes. Our family enjoys going for walks, visiting grandma and grandpa and playing games together. We plan to expand our family once Rick finishes his Masters at Wayne State University and are excited to see where God leads us!

MY BACKGROUND

One of 6 siblings, I grew up as a military child and traveled the world. My mom homeschooled us and always made sure we took care of each other. I majored in Social Work at Olivet Nazarene University, and achieved my Masters in Social Work with a concentration in children and families from Loyola University Chicago. I worked three years at Community Mental Health, providing home-based therapy to kids and families with emotional and behavioral challenges. I have specific training in trauma, Infant Mental Health and family based therapies.
