SERVE TEAM OPPORTUNITIES

DESCRIPTIONS OF EACH SERVE TEAM

College Home Sponsors: In serving as a College Home Sponsor you have the unique opportunity to invest daily in the life of a full-time ministry student by providing a home and relationship.

Event Planning Team: This team prepares events in detailed and various ways that are unique to each event. Some things may include decorating, the schedule of the event time, marketing, and more. (Works closely with Fellowship Team and Outreach Team.)

Facilities Team: This team exists to make sure that we have a facility that is attractive, efficient, and user friendly in helping Midland Naz play its role in God’s story. Their role is to make sure that the facility can be used to maximize the ministries of the other teams.

Fellowship Team: This team ensures that we—as a church body—gather together throughout the year so that we foster relationships and have fun. This team supports the Event Planning Team, Outreach Team, and other teams as needed.

Greeters: This friendly team loves people and makes them feel at home here at Midland Nazarene. They welcome guests with a smile, encouragement and personal touch so that hearts are open to the Gospel message.

Hope House Ministry: This ministry provides love and support to un-wed mothers in our community who need a hand getting back on their feet. The house on the front of our property provides this safe-haven. It is also an opportunity to teach them about finances, for tutoring, teaching health and or hygiene, and other daily tasks to bring this new family back on to solid ground.

In-Reach Team: The purpose of the In-Reach Team is to share God’s love, grace, and mercy in specific tangible ways to those in need inside our community of faith.

Kids Check-in: As families arrive at our Midland Naz Kids and Preschool/Nursery areas, this team welcomes them and facilitates the computer check-in process that ensures children are cared for effectively and efficiently.

Life Group Leaders: We believe that real life change takes place in the context of relationships. As a Life Group Leader, you have the greatest opportunity to connect with others, fulfill your passions, develop your gifts and live out the Great Commission.

Media/Technical Team: Bring your creativity and tech savvy to this team by delivering the Word and worship through camera, lighting and sound elements.

Men’s Ministries: A group of men at Midland Naz plan and prepare upcoming events and gatherings where other men of the congregation, and those beyond our walls, are encouraged to be strong courageous men of Christ. Such events might include hunting trips, chili cook-offs, weekly men’s bible studies, and more.

Midland Naz Kids: This team creates an environment where children are consistently exposed to the real love of Jesus. Through worship, videos, skits, small groups, greeting, games and more, this team intentionally invests in the lives of our children.

Midland Naz Worship: With vocals or instruments, this dynamic team serves to prepare the way for our guests to encounter the presence of the living God.

Missions Team: This team is involved in helping us stay connected and participating in domestic and international missions (e.g. mission trips, adopting a missions family).

Nursery/Toddler: This team leads children into a real relationship with Jesus through Bible stories, worship, prayer, hands-on activities and personal interactions.

Outreach: The purpose of the Outreach Team is to help our community of faith reach people for God and connect them to God and our community of faith through, for example, out-reach events and community service projects.

Prayer Team: This team of trained intercessors covers the weekend and midweek services in prayer, preparing the way for the Lord. Join this team that is blazing the trail for God in our community!

Prime Time Ministries: This group of those ranging above 60 of age will often plan trips to other states to enjoy gospel music, fall color tours, good food, and other opportunities to increase in fellowship and community.

Welcome Center Team: This team connects guests to the Church community, providing information on all of our current events, ministry opportunities and services at Mid Naz.

Women’s Ministries: A group of female leaders at Midland Naz who plan upcoming events and gatherings where other women of the congregation, and those beyond our walls, are encouraged to be Godly women who mirror Christ’s reflection throughout their lives. Such events might include women’s bible studies, ladies luncheons, retreats and more!
