prayer at midland naz

At Midland Nazarene, we are committed to be a "Pray First" church, taking everything before God, whether in victories or defeats.  We recognize from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 that it is God’s will for all to be in prayer, “Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

We also recognize the challenge most people have in developing and sustaining a full and healthy prayer life. The Midland Naz Prayer Ministry Team strives to provide opportunities for all to focus on their prayer lives individually and to provide opportunities for all to support each other through prayer.

prayer opportunities

Thursday Night Prayer

Every Thursday Night we gather together in various homes from 7- 8:30 pm. We begin with praises, which gives us an opportunity to uplift our joys and thankfulness to God. The remainder of our time together consists of teaching on prayer and opportunities to pray for others and be prayed for. Please know that if you are struggling with prayer, or if you pray daily with purpose, this time is meant for you.

Weekend Prayer

Join us in praying for our cities and Sunday services on Saturday mornings from 8-9 am in the church sanctuary. We gather on our sanctaury stage Sunday morning at 9:10 am for a time of prayer in preparation for our worship service.

21 days of prayer

At Midland Naz, we have made it a priority to seek God first in prayer. We do this collectively as a church in January and August through 21 Days of Prayer. We gather from 7 AM to 8 AM on week days and 10 AM to 11 AM on Saturdays. These two months are intentional, as they begin new seasons of the year. Together, we faithfully seek God first, trusting in His power alone to create lasting impact in our lives, our church and our world.   .

Have a prayer request?

Do you have a need? (financial struggles, health challenges, marriage/divorce issues, teenager in crisis, death of a loved one). Would you like someone to pray with you each week? We have a group of prayer team members who are paired with you based upon your area of need to support you confidentially as we ask God to respond to your need.
